Lochar and Nithsdale met for the 7th time this season last night, this time in the Cree Lodge Cup Quarter Final at Lorimer Park Sanquhar. A young Lochar side came away with an impressive 1-0 victory.

Manager Chris Jardine rang the changes with Friday’s cup final versus Dalbeattie Star on the horizon. An emergency signing of Vinnie Parker saw the experienced stopper pull on the gloves. Rory Copland and Liam Nish were the only two starters from last weeks Potts Cup win.

Nithsdale started lively and Parker was called in to the action with three excellent saves in the first couple of minutes.
