Employees and Lochar players Jake Gemmell and Josh McVinnie are pictured in the Dumfries branch.
Jake has had a superb season with 14 clean sheets and was instrumental in Lochar’s cup success this season. Youngster Josh’s commitment has been impressive and the wee man has chipped in with 5 goals, one being a goal of the season contender.

Lochar ended their 2023/24 season tonight after they bowed out of the Cree Lodge Cup at the semi final stage after a 3-1 defeat to Abbey Vale in a game that was over shadowed by a poor all round refereeing performance, incidentally the majority of the game baffling decisions going against both teams.
Lochar lined up with 5 changes from Fridays cup final starting team with Kyle Braid, Craig Adamson, Liam Nish, Olly Cairnie and Josh McVinnie coming in to the line up
Vale opened the scorer after 15 minutes when an effort took a wicked deflection and somehow landed in the top corner, as Thistl

Chris Jardine's side defeated newly-crowned South league champions Dalbeattie Star FC in front of a healthy crowd at Palmerston Park.
A first-half goal from that man Peter Mendy was enough to secure a 1-0 win for Thistle, despite playing the majority of the game with 10 men after forward Robbie Hogg was sent off for an off-the-ball incident before the break.

Lochar lifted the Tweedie Cup last night after a deserving 1-0 victory over recent South League Champions Dalbeattie Star to make it two cup final wins over Star this season.

Lochar and Nithsdale met for the 7th time this season last night, this time in the Cree Lodge Cup Quarter Final at Lorimer Park Sanquhar. A young Lochar side came away with an impressive 1-0 victory.
Manager Chris Jardine rang the changes with Friday’s cup final versus Dalbeattie Star on the horizon. An emergency signing of Vinnie Parker saw the experienced stopper pull on the gloves. Rory Copland and Liam Nish were the only two starters from last weeks Potts Cup win.

The dust has settled after last nights cup success for the club after a 1-0 victory over Queen of the South as Lochar claimed a second Potts Cup victory.
Thistle playing in their 3rd cup final were at near full strength, only missing Craig Adamson with a calf injury while on loan striker Peter Mendy was lining up on the opposite side as he led the line for QOS, ex Lochar midfielder Finlay Kennedy was also in the Queens line up while it was good to see another ex Lochar loanee Andy Oram taking a seat on the South bench after a lengthy injury lay off.

After the highs of our cup victory on Friday night it was back to League business last night with a trip to Lockerbie to face Mids. It was raining goals again as Thistle came away with a 5-3 win.
6 changes from the starting cup line up, with the most notable absence being Jake Gemmell who was replaced in goals by Sam Warren.
It was role reversed from Friday with Lochar finding themselves 3-0 down after 32 minutes, a wonder 30 yarder from Brian Mullen brought the away side back into the game at the half time break.
Lochar came out a different team in the second half and reduced the deficit

In windy conditions the winner came on 8 minutes when Harvey Craig volleyed home from an inviting Jack Caskie corner.
Chances came for both teams with Ben Wallace striking the bar and Zac Cairnie heading narrowly wide being the closest Thistle came to adding to the slender lead.
Some brave defending and goalkeeping from Adam Maxwell late on sealed an overdue win and clean sheet for the lads.

It’s game day as we welcome Lochamben to Dumfries in the South of Scotland League. With the rain still playing havoc with Wilson Park the game has been switched to NWCC, 2pm KO.
Lochar are currently on a great unbeaten run and old rivals Lochmaben will be out to put a stop to that.
In recent Thistle games, the goals have been flying in at both ends, so you just never know if that will continue today.

Lochar kept up their good form this afternoon after a 4-1 South League victory over Lochmaben at a wind swept NWCC.
Credit must go to both sets of players in what can only be described as extremely blustery conditions.
Chris Jardine shuffled the Lochar pack again with a lingering virus still ripping through a number of the squad.
Lochar broke the deadlock after 25 minutes when Peter Mendy struck. With the game being scrappy Lochmaben drew level 5 minutes before the break.
Jardine made 3 changes at half time to try and spark some life into the Thistle side as no team really had a foothold

In front of a healthy crowd at NWCC last night Lochar and Abbey Vale had to settle for a share of the points after a 2-2 draw
Abbey Vale saw themselves 2-0 up after 20 minutes which seemed to be against the run of the play as Lochar seemed to have good control in the game. A mazy run on 36 minutes from Marcus Zygadlo saw the youngster net his 11th of the season before a Blair Steele header brought the scores level at the break.
The second half was not as eventful in terms of goals but both sides did push hard for a winner, in the end up a draw was a fair result all round.
Last nights match a
